Bees & Honey,
The Frequently Asked Questions
Crystallisation is normal
All raw honey granulates over time, some faster, some slower. It is a sign of quality, not a fault. Gently warm the jar in water to reliquefy the honey.
Storage
Store your honey at room temperature in a cupboard, keep away from direct sunlight and the stove. Keeping it cool will help it stay runny for longer.
Never microwave
Microwaving destroys the enzymes and flavour. Warm crystallised honey in some warm water (40 degrees max) instead.
Keep it Sealed
Honey absorbs moisture from the air. Keep the lid on nice and tight to prevent fermentation.
No Need to put it in the fridge
There's no need to store honey in the fridge, it naturally resists spoiling, and stored correctly will keep for years. Of course you can keep in the fridge if that's what you prefer
